Landscape Architect
All plans are custom designed by Roger Wagner, a registered landscape architect with over 32 years experience. He has developed hundreds of plans to satisfy a wide variety of site restrictions and client’s needs.
Design Process
The design process begins with an in-depth meeting with our client to listen to their needs, vision, and specific lifestyle requirements. Budget and design style are also discussed to ensure they are considered and incorporated into the plan. Next a detailed site analysis is conducted to determine the specific site factors, such items as:
- sun/shade areas;
- topography and potential drainage issues;
- views to be enhanced or screened;
- building limitations such as window locations and heights;
- circulation patterns;
- existing trees and plants, and;
- other factors particular to the site and project.
Preliminary Design
A preliminary plan or concept plans are designed incorporating the client’s wants and site requirements. The plan or concepts are reviewed with the client to ensure the client’s needs are being included in the design. At this time, we review various hardscape, plants and amenities. Amenities which are available for incorporation into the plan include pergolas, fire pits, fireplaces, outdoor lighting, pools, water features, spas, decks, arbors, and others. These items, where appropriate are reviewed with the client to ensure they fully understand the design specifics and approve any desired items.
Preliminary cost estimates are developed and reviewed to inform the client of proposed design costs versus their budget for the project.
Final Plan
The final plan and final cost estimate are developed and presented to the client. If required, Lawn Solutions will submit and present the plan to the client’s architectural review board or government agency.
Lawn Solutions develops plans for new construction and also major renovations on existing sites. The plans are installed using Lawn Solutions highly trained crews and a few select subcontractors. Roger Wagner is involved in most projects in site layout, specific plant selections, and inspections to ensure the plan is installed to the highest standards of materials, details, and construction.
